After many days of investigation, Shekhawat is still clueless about the accidents. This is also the time time when he and his wife Roshni(Rani Mukherjee) are trying to recover from the death of their eight year old son. The personal tragedy in the family creates some differences between the couple. Things start getting worse. In these circumstances, Shekawat becomes close to Rosy(Kareena Kapoor) , who is involved in the accident that kills Armaan Kapoor .
Rest of the story is about how Shekawat solves the whole mystery of these car accidents.
Plus Points :
It is a known fact that when Aamir Khan approves a script, it is bound to have something special and he proves it with this film too. The story itself is a huge asset and very seldom, one comes across a script where you have suspense, drama, emotion and sentiment mixed together. Talaash has a very intriguing story line, which will make you stick to your seats till the last minute.Amir Khan gives a mind blowing performance in this movie. His role demands many subtle variations and Aamir delivers them with ease. He carries the whole film on his shoulders and is spectacular in emotional scenes.
Rani as Aamir’s wife is stunning and portrays the character of a troubled house wife, with lot of ease and magnanimity. Her de-glamorized look and body language compliments Aamir’s performance well. Kareena, in the role of prostitute plays her part well, and is the key element for the entire film.
Nawazuddin Siddique once again impresses in the role of Tehmur. Interval block and first half of the film are highly gripping. Suspense elements, songs and all the emotion and sentiment will stay with you, even after you come out of the theater.
Minus Points :
For casual movie goers, the film can get confusing. There won’t be any repeat value in the film due to the nature of the plot. Once the twist is revealed, the movie will not be as much fun.Technical Aspects :
Talaash has a gripping screenplay and Zoya Akhta manages to keep the suspense alive through the movie. The camerawork effectively shows the darker side of Mumbai and the entire night life associated with it.Reema Kagti has done a good job and has extracted nice performance for all her stars. Her style of story telling, characterization and the motto behind every charter is shown cleverly in Talaash. She creates perfect situations and the whole nuances of mistaken identities and certain atmosphere which every thriller needs to have.
What makes this movie more gripping is its back ground score, which manages a create feel of doubt and thrill.
